
Muthanna P M
Programme Head
Muthanna initially joined WCS-India in 2000. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Arts in 1991 and Law in 1995 from the University of Mysore.
Based in Hunsur, Karnataka, Muthanna’s area of expertise covers the Malenad Mysore Tiger Landscape and extends into Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Besides effective conservation interventions to secure wildlands – Muthanna has played a key role in motivating more than 800 families from Nagarahole and over 300 families from the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary to relocate under the government-sponsored relocation program. He was conferred with the WCS Service Award in 2006 in recognition of his outstanding services to wildlife conservation.

He has been with WCS-India since 2012. He is actively involved in conservation work in and around Wayanad, Kerala.
