Field Internship - Forest Owlet Project

WCS-India’s Forest Owlet Project focuses on understanding the population status, distribution and breeding biology of the forest owlets in the Dang district and adjoining regions of Gujarat that form a part of the Northern Western Ghats. The landscape lacks long-term ecological studies and has seen several local extinctions due to hunting and habitat loss. The project focuses on enhancing our understanding of the status of the forest owlet in the landscape through applied research, outreach and capacity development.

We are looking to hire two field interns to assist with field surveys, data collection, outreach activities, and other project-related tasks.
