We are looking for an intern to help us create exciting content for our social media platforms and webpages. The role will entail working closely with the Communications and Outreach team to contribute to creating, writing and designing posts, newsletters and related outreach materials for WCS-India's programmes and also various topics related to conservation.
Location: Bengaluru, Hybrid
Period of engagement: 3 months from the date of joining (may be extended as per requirement)
Reports to: Communications Officer
Eligibility:
- Pursuing or completing a Bachelor's degree in Media, Communications, Design, or related fields
- An active interest in wildlife conservation and related topics
- Ability to write and use basic software such as Google Suite
- A basic eye for design and photography and an ability to use software such as Canva
- Ability to work in cooperation with a team, considerate in dealing with people
- Ability to work with less supervision
- Excellent communication skills and creativity
Roles/Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating, planning, and executing regular social media content
- Assist in compiling wildlife news from India for internal newsletters and social media posts
- Putting together basic designs for social media
- Ideating and tracking wildlife-related days for topical posts
- Uploading and scheduling posts across social media channels and tracking engagement
- Assistance with social media analytics and monthly calendar planning
Remuneration: Rs 10,000/- per month
